Apple’s Upcoming iPhone 16 Lineup: More RAM and Faster 5G for Pro Models

Apple's iPhone 16 Series: Boosting Performance, 5G Speeds, and Camera Quality

The upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is expected to bring notable improvements, according to an investor note by analyst Jeff Pu. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will feature the Apple A18 chipset, built on the 3nm fabrication process, accompanied by an increase in RAM to 8GB from the previous 6GB in iPhone 15 models. These devices will retain the Qualcomm X70 modem but introduce Wi-Fi 6E.

For the Pro models, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the A18 Pro SoC will offer enhanced performance. Notably, these models will feature the Qualcomm X75 modem, providing faster 5G speeds compared to the iPhone 15 Pro models with the X70 modem. The Pro models will also include Wi-Fi 7, an upgrade from Wi-Fi 6E in the previous generation.

Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport a 48MP ultrawide camera, a significant improvement over the 12MP unit in the current-generation models. These enhancements suggest Apple’s commitment to delivering a more powerful and advanced lineup with the iPhone 16 series.
