Poco Debuts First Tablet: Poco Pad with Big Screen and Long Battery Life

Poco surprised everyone today with their first-ever tablet, the Poco Pad, alongside the new F6 and F6 Pro phones. Designed for both work and entertainment, the Poco Pad looks strikingly similar to the recently launched Redmi Pad Pro.

The main attraction of the Poco Pad is its display. It’s a large 12.1-inch LCD panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, sharp 2.5K resolution, and impressive 12-bit color for displaying a wide range of colors. The display also gets bright at 600 nits and offers comfortable viewing with DC dimming for flicker-free reading at lower brightness levels.

Striking a balance between work and entertainment, the Poco Pad features a 16:10 aspect ratio display. Entertainment is further enhanced by Dolby Atmos quad speakers and Dolby Vision support for high-quality visuals while streaming.

Speaking of entertainment, the massive 10,000mAh battery promises up to 16 hours of continuous video playback. Charging is handled by 33W fast charging, and Poco claims 15 minutes of charging provides enough juice for 26 hours of music playback (although how many people use tablets for music is debatable).

The Poco Pad runs on the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor as the Poco X6 smartphone. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but expandable storage enthusiasts will appreciate the microSD card slot that supports up to a whopping 1.5TB of additional storage.

As a Xiaomi product, the Poco Pad runs on HyperOS. This operating system offers some interesting features when paired with a HyperOS phone, such as screen casting, drag-and-drop file sharing between devices, a shared clipboard, and quick internet tethering from your phone.

The Poco Pad boasts a sleek metal unibody design that’s just 7.52mm thin and weighs 571g. It comes in two color options: Gray and Blue.

Poco offers a variety of accessories for the Pad, including a Poco Pad Cover for basic protection, a Poco Pad Keyboard for work-oriented users, and a Poco Smart Pen for note-taking and drawing.

The Poco Pad is available for purchase today at an introductory price of $300 for the sole 8GB/256GB configuration. Choose between Gray or Blue. After the launch promotion ends, the regular price will be $330. The Poco Pad Keyboard costs $80, the Poco Smart Pen is $60, and the basic cover is just $20.
