Asus took the wraps off the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro during the ongoing CES 2024 event. While the initial announcement focused on the US and European pricing, we now have the details for the Indian market, specifically for the ROG Phone 8 Pro.
Available in the striking Phantom Black color, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro offers two memory configurations: 16GB/512GB and 24GB/1TB, priced at INR 94,999 ($1,140/€1,045) and INR 119,999 ($1,440/€1,320), respectively. The 24GB RAM variant, known as the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition, comes bundled with the ROG AeroActive Cooler X, also available separately for INR 5,999 ($70/€65).
Indian consumers can purchase the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro through the official website, Asus stores, and Vijay Sales, with the sale date yet to be announced.
Under the hood, the ROG Phone 8 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and runs on Android 14. The device boasts a 6.78-inch 165Hz FullHD+ LTPO AMOLED display and houses a 5,500 mAh battery supporting 65W wired charging (30W in India).
Adding to its unique features, the smartphone showcases a customizable 341 Mini-LED matrix on the back, accompanied by a camera setup that includes a 50MP primary lens, a 32MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide lens. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 32MP front camera.
Differentiated slightly, the Asus ROG Phone 8 shares similarities with its Pro counterpart but features an Asus RGB logo on the rear instead of LEDs. It comes with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, along with two color choices: Rebel Grey and Phantom Black.
