Apple enthusiasts in South Korea are in for a treat as the tech giant opens its seventh retail store in Seoul’s Mapo District, near Hongik University Station. Despite its modest size, Apple Hongdae has officially opened its doors to the public, promising an experience that lives up to Apple’s high standards.
Highlighted in a recent press release, Apple Hongdae not only becomes the company’s seventh store in South Korea but also marks a significant milestone as Apple’s 100th retail location in the Asia-Pacific region. According to Apple, the new space aims to provide customers in Korea with the opportunity to explore and shop the extensive lineup of Apple products while receiving top-notch support from a dedicated team.
Although relatively compact, the store boasts all the essential features, including Today at Apple sessions, designated Apple Pickup areas, technical support specialists, and the signature minimalist white oak fixtures and tables that define Apple’s aesthetic.
Images from the grand opening, shared on Twitter, reveal that some of the initial visitors were treated to souvenir tote bags and stickers featuring the distinctive graffiti-inspired Apple Hongdae logo. For those eager to get a closer look, a high-resolution wallpaper version of the logo is available for download.
Located at 140 Yanghwa-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Apple Hongdae operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., ensuring accessibility for customers to explore and experience Apple’s latest offerings.
