WhatsApp Introduces Message Draft Feature for Android and iOS Users

WhatsApp Introduces Multi-Account Support for Android Users

What if we told you that, just like email, you can now access a message draft feature in WhatsApp chats? This new feature, which allows users to save partially composed messages, has recently been announced and is now being gradually rolled out to both Android and iOS users.

As shown in the image above, Android users can now find this update available on the Google Play Store. With the update, message drafts are now clearly marked with a “Draft” label in the chat list. iOS users can also access this feature with the latest update from the App Store.

What is the Message Draft Feature?

The message draft feature was created to help users manage unfinished messages, allowing them to pick up where they left off. When this feature is active, any incomplete message will be displayed directly in the chat list with a “Draft” label. This enables users to see the content of their partially written messages without having to open the individual conversation.

In the past, users had to manually check each chat to remember or find incomplete messages. Now, the “Draft” label provides a quick visual cue, making it easier to spot conversations with unfinished messages at a glance. For those who often leave messages incomplete, this feature helps ensure important messages are not forgotten.
