Xiaomi launched the Redmi 4 today, Redmi 4 is the successor to the much-acclaimed Redmi 3S which was the #1 best-selling device in the online segment last year. Starting from INR 6,999, Redmi 4 is a 5-inch smartphone with a metal body and a fingerprint sensor.


Redmi 4 sports a beautiful symmetric design, with a 2.5D curved glass that makes the phone super elegant and extremely comfortable to hold. Powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 435 Octa-core processor and an Adreno 505 GPU, Redmi 4 offers high performance gaming and multitasking.

It is powered by a massive 4100mAh (typ) battery With a 13MP rear camera It comes with PDAF for faster focusing, and supports 1080P full HD video recording. A 5MP, f/2.0 aperture front facing camera makes Redmi 4 ideal for selfies.It comes in three variants – 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, 3GB + 32GB, and 4GB + 64GB, and is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. It supports 4G LTE and VoLTE out of the box, covering all India LTE bands. Redmi 4 runs on Android 6.0.1 with MIUI 8 and will be upgraded to Android N very soon. It comes in gold and matte black metal colour variants

Redmi 4 will be available on 23rd May 2017 at 12 noon on Mi.com and Amazon.in. The 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM variant is priced at INR 6,999 and 3GB + 32GB variant will be available for INR 8,999. The 4GB + 64GB variant will be launched at INR 10,999 by June end.
